Manual wheelchairs come in many different varieties depending upon the user’s needs. There are standard folding chairs, sport wheelchairs, lightweight chairs, heavy duty chairs, reclining chairs, and transport chairs. A standard folding wheelchair is a good choice if you tire easily and can’t walk as far as you used to or are unable to walk but would like the option of arm propelling. These chairs have options such as desk vs. full arm styles, footrests vs. elevating leg rests, and seat height adjustment on some models.
A power wheelchair is a wheelchair that is propelled by an electric motor rather than manual power. Motorized wheelchairs are powered with rechargeable batteries and the user will control the mobility with a joystick. The chair will move in the direction that the joystick is pointed. Motorized wheelchairs are useful for those that may not be able to manually propel themselves or who may need to travel longer distances.
A mobility scooter is designed to allow for continuous mobility for those that may need assistance to complete basic tasks or travel. They are helpful for those users that may not have the strength or flexibility to propel a manual wheelchair. They can be used indoors, outdoors, or on a variety of terrains depending upon the model you choose. Whatever your needs may be, Motion 4 Less will have a scooter that is just right to meet the demands of your lifestyle.
Vertical platform lifts, also known as porch lifts, are useful for patients that use powerchairs, manual wheelchairs, and scooters. These lifts are ideal for homes and businesses with confined spaces where there is not ample room for a ramp. Porch lifts can hold up to 1000 lbs. and reach as high as 15 feet depending upon the model.
Homecare beds are available in semi-electric, full-electric, and bariatric models. These beds are constructed using welded steel frames. The head and foot sections can be raised or lowered simultaneously or independently with one hand control. The motor unit and bed design provide the ultimate in quiet, smooth operation.
A power recline lift chair looks like a normal reclining sofa chair but will also lift to allow a user to get in and out much easier than a typical recliner. These power chairs offer the ultimate in style and comfort as they are available in different fabrics and options such as heat and massage.
Talk about promptness and fit the need of the customer. They went all out helping me. You work your entire life assisting others in the nursing industry and when it comes times for you to need assistance, the government social security you pay into does NOT help you with your needs. Medicare will not assist you but Med X Change, LLC came to my rescue.
Great products at a great price- wonderful to help people get the equipment they need at a price they can afford! Wonderful customer service!
Great service and great people!! I rented a scooter for a family member who was visiting St. Louis for the Memorial Day weekend on short notice. Scott not only answered my call after he had already left the office for the holiday weekend, but he opened up just to get our needed equipment then delivered it to us.
